DP Commissioner's Report 2011

The Irish DP Commissioner's Annual Report was published earlier today and can be seen here.  As with each annual report, you will find several case studies included, which are both informative and indicative of the kind of issues with which the Office of the Commissioner is dealing.
 
We will be hosting a number of events in the coming weeks/months to draw from the report, and focus on the new DP Regulations, due to take effect in early 2014.

On 6th March Minister Shatter invited submissions on recent EU Proposals to strengthen data protection safeguards.  The IDMA  Regulatory Affairs Team submitted a response before the deadline on 20th March which can be downloaded here.
